A 60-store Chinese bakery chain in Henan was filling baozi by hand. Each store needed 18 hand-fold workers just to keep up with morning demand, and finished bun weights drifted from 60 g to 130 g depending on who was folding that morning. Headcount costs were eating 22% of revenue.

The Challenge

The chain asked us for a single machine that could form perfectly pleated baozi at 100 pieces/minute, hold piece weight within ±3 g of an 80 g target, and switch between pork, vegetable, and red-bean fillings inside 15 minutes. The chain also wanted remote PLC support so the head office could monitor every store.

The Solution

We commissioned a Yucheng-style automatic steamed bun machine with a 3 kW servo motor, 100-piece-per-minute throughput, and a stainless forming head that produces identical 18-pleat buns. The PLC connects to the chain’s central dashboard for live OEE reporting.
