A frozen food manufacturer in Hebei was producing 8 tons of dumplings per shift on three semi-automatic lines, each staffed by 6 operators. Total daily output was capped at 24 tons and management wanted to lift that to 60 tons without hiring more people.
The Challenge
The manufacturer needed a turnkey automated dumpling line that could form and separate 8,000 dumplings per hour, hold piece weight within ±2 g of a 25 g target, and handle both thin-skinned pork dumplings and thicker vegetarian dumplings on the same line. The line also had to fit inside the existing 18 m x 6 m production hall.
The Solution
We installed a Sanhao-style automated dumpling line with a 5 kW servo motor, twin filling heads, and PLC recipe control. The line is now producing 25 tons of dumplings per shift with just 4 operators, all of whom were upskilled from the previous semi-automatic lines.
